Robert A. Disney

Oct. 26, 1929 - Dec. 16, 2017 Woodland Robert A. Disney (Bob), 88 years old, born Oct. 26, 1929, in Chico, California, passed away on Dec. 16, at home in Woodland with his wife and daughters by his side. He died of Prostate Cancer. Bob served his country proudly in the Korean War as a paratrooper in the Army Airborne services. Bob worked in the aerospace industry as an engineer for over 30 years helping with the Titan I and Titan II installation. He also helped with many launches in Florida and Vandenberg Airforce Base. Bob had many hobbies and interests, including fishing, hunting, taking his fifth wheel out camping, vacationing in Alaska, working in his workshop, and taking care of his red roses. Bob has been married 63 years to Ardith Louise Hodge Disney. They wed on June 6, 1954, in Woodland, CA. She was the love of his life. Bob leaves behind his wife Ardith; daughters, Susan Disney, Debbie Disney Groth (Henry); grandchildren, Robert Murphy (Allycia), Amy Estrada (Mike), Laurie Cecaci (Jeremy), Ryan Murphy (Christina), and Katie and Ryan Groth; as well as his great grandchildren, Oliver Murphy, Jayde and Isaac Estrada. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Jessie Disney, and sister, Ellen Disney. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m., at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland, CA 95695. Funeral services are Wednesday, Dec. 27, 10:30 a.m., also at McNary's Chapel. Burial to follow at Woodland City Cemetery, 2001 East St., Woodland, CA.
