I met Bob about 13 years ago. My son's name is also Robert G. DuCharme and he works for AT&T and he met Bob when he was putting a phone line in his building. I think they went to the same doctor when my son met him, he said, you're the other Bob G. DuCharme and my son told him that I (his mother) was into Genealogy and I was trying to research the DuCharme name, he showed up at our house about a week later and spent the day with us going through family records. I just found out from my son that Bob had passed and we are so sorry to hear of your loss. You are in our prayers.

Bob was a Renaissance man. Many hobbies and interests and their fruition in two genealogy volumes, his glasswork and paintings, his work with city planning and contributions of himself to his church and friends. I loved him like a brother and will miss his always being there.

Bob and I "hit it off" very early in our developing friendship.
We shared many intimate memories with each other in our many trips to our men's group at the North Shore Unitarian Church. He was a confidante. Thoughtful, and a pleasure to be with. An irreplaceable friend!

Bob Ducharme was to me the Dad of one of my best friends, Robyn, whom I've been close with all my life. Bob was a giving, loving, intellectual and honorable man who raised his children to be curious, compassionate, and committed to their families and communities. His legacy will live on through them and while he will be missed he will never be forgotten. His life is one to celebrate.

I will always treasure the wonderful memories I have of my PaPa. He was my father-in-law, however, he always made me feel like his own. Saturday mornings are the hardest for me because that was our time alone together when he would come out and stay for the weekend. We would sit together in the family room or out on the front porch and just BE together. Just being with him brought joy and peace. He loved his family and each year at our holiday dinners he would always rejoice in pointing out the new additions to our family table. Love you PaPa <3

I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have had Bob in my life. He raised my sister and I, and I am so thankful for every moment I have had with him. He was such a special man, and he will always be in my heart. I love you Bob!!

Bob and I were best friends when we were kids. We had many good times together and many fond memories. I will miss knowing that I will not be able to see him any more when we get together at Mapleville in August each year.

It was my privilege and pleasure to have enjoyed Uncle Bob's company on a number of occasions. His family and friends were blessed to have had him in their lives. He was someone who carried kindness and joy with him and shared it abundantly. I am sure that he will continue to smile down on those he loved.

My thoughts and prayers are with his children and their families.

He left the family a great legacy when he researched and published the family geneology. It was an honor to have had lunch with him and Robyn the day before he passed.

He has been released from the bonds of earth and is flying on the wings of the angels. God bless.
