Robert C. Ebersole

Robert C. Ebersole, 61, of Akron, passed away June 26, 2004.

Robert served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1966. He de voted much of his time to helping children. He served 14 years as the president of the Goodyear Heights Youth As sociation (GHYA), where he coached both baseball and bas ketball. He also served as a trustee for the Ohio Hotstove Baseball League. Robert enjoyed many hobbies, including drag racing, golf, and bowling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lois Ebersole, and wife, Debora Ebersole. He will be deeply missed by his children, Teri (Boyd) Crossland, Traci Ebersole (Robert Connolly), Lori Ebersole, Jedidiah Ebersole, Robert Ebersole II, and Cloy Ebersole; sister, Carol (Kenny) Bryan; brothers, Bill (Phyllis) Ebersole and Neal Ebersole; grandchildren, Cory Crossland, James Nissel, Kelly Jewell, Ash ley Crossland, Nikki Ebersole, Aron Crossland, Zach Welty, Mackenzie Welty, and Amanda Welty; special friends, Dean and Patty Antognoli, and Russ and Bonnie Pfautz.

Friends and family may call TODAY from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m., with Pastor Jim Roma officiating, with visitation also for one hour prior. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to GHYA, P.O. Box 9262, Akron, Ohio 44305. (NEWCOMER- FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 330- 784-3334.)

Dearest Jed, Bobby, and Cloy,

Our families have been friends for a long time. I will always hold dear to my heart the good times we've had. Going to each others houses, Jed and my brother walking to elementary school together. You guys, as well as your parents will always have a piece of my heart. Hope to hear from one of you guys soon.

Hey Bob,

I missed asking u for dimes and nickels all the time but now you can give them to Kenny for me so I will still be takin all your dimes and nickels. I'm sorry for your loss and I will truly miss Bob He always helped me when I needed it while I was up at the Concession Stand and Reservoir.
