Robert Knowlton Ellis Jr.

Robert "Bob" Knowlton Ellis Jr. unexpectedly passed away in his home on February 17, 2023. Anyone who met Bob knows he is truly one of a kind and was never without a smile on his face. Bob is survived by his former spouse, Amy Ellis, and their four children Mary, Bobby, Billy, and Terese, as well as his three siblings Sally, Maureen, and Paul. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary Ellis and Robert Knowlton Ellis Sr, and his beloved pet dog Bear. Growing up in Rockland, Massachusetts meant a lot to Bob. He loved all things Boston, and ensured his kids did too. Boston College Football was notoriously his team, no matter how much they frustrated him. Bob cherished his family and friends immensely, but he had an affinity for meeting new people like nobody else. He loved sharing stories with anyone who would listen at his favorite spots around Old Town in Chicago. No one was a stranger to Bob.
