Bob and I have been good friends since 1954 when we were students at the University of Nebraska. We ran track together, I saw a lot of Bob's back as he was a great athlete who ran the one and two mile races, winning many of them. I was honored to be the best man at his wedding. We have continued our friendship for 60 years. He seldom missed calling me on my birthday all this time. Life will not be the same without him. My deepest sympathy to his family in their loss.
