What an honor for him. It's so sad that he wasn't here to receive it and to know how much he was valued. I only wish I had know him better. Thoughts and love are with you (belatedly) as you work through this first anniversary month.

The world has lost a truly exceptional person. Bob was like a brother to me. We will miss his weekly visits to our house, just won't be the same. You will be deeply missed, Bob.

We used to gather under the angel at St. Philip for Bob's morning jokes. No one enjoyed them more heartily than the joke-teller himself, except for the time he told a good 'un and he didn't realize Father Dorsch was standing right behind him. So many big laughs...R.I.P. buddy

Bob was the master joke teller all the way back to his high school years. His laugh was so contagious he would liven up any room. We had more fun and laughs together than anyone could possibly have. I can hear St. Peter saying "What are we going to do with this one?" Jesus said "He was a kind and gentle soul let him in." St. Peter said "Yeah but his laugh will disturb everyone's rest". Jesus said "He will liven the place up."
I miss you my dear friend.
