I had the honor and pleasure of being one of his residents in the early 1990's. He was a man of great knowledge and kindness; one of the Greats, and will be missed.

Our condolences on the loss of this very special man. I have wonderful memories not only of his tremendous skill but also his sense of humour. As a teenager I went to see him because I was concerned about my skin. As I sat next to my mother, I was very embarrassed when he asked if I was worried that boys wouldn't like my face during high school dances. He told me 'Don't worry, its always dark at those dances and they won't see a thing.' I forgot my school bag in his office and he popped his head around the corner, saying 'We don't want to do your homework'. We will miss him.

A wonderful friend, and skilled dermatologist. My fond memories are of sharing our love of our back gardens, sometimes baby-sitting his cat(s), and his delight in spending several weeks every year tending to the aboriginal children in Canada's North. I am glad he was able to spend his last days in the home he loved for so many years.
My sincere condolences to his family -

Dear John and Jane,
As my sister, Elizabeth, has written, your dad attended to us all so wonderfully throughout our lives. An appointment with him was never just that for me; it was also a visit. Your dad would always ask me about whatever article, book, or film that I was working on. And he would speak to me proudly of your accomplishments. Although I've lived in the Eastern Townships for more than thirty years, I still go for checkups with a dentist and an eye doctor in the Drummond Medical Building. I shall always see your dad's name on the listing in the foyer and always feel his spirit in the hallways. My thoughts are with you and your families as you absorb the loss of him in your lives.
Sincerely,
Louise Abbott

A great and kind doctor has passed away! Dr. Forsey cared for our family well into adulthood, and I remember my last visit, when I was tormented by a rash on my arms. As he examined it, I explained that I was certain my stress level had produced this misery. Dr. Forsey sat back and asked laconically, "Do you have a cat?" "A cat? A cat! Why, yes I do, but what...." "And does your cat sleep with you? Because what you have is flea bites from your wrists to where your pajama sleeves probably begin." I began to laugh. Of course, he was right! My only request: "Please, Dr. Forsey, don't tell my mother!" He didn't, and until now this incident was our little secret. To Dr. Forsey's family: You have a lost a wonderful father and grandfather, but Dr. Forsey's gentle journey through life remains alive in everyone of us who had the great pleasure of knowing him.
