FRUIN, ROBERT MARK; 81; of Richmond; died May 14, 2012. Mr. Fruin was born September, 1930. He married Elizabeth Dunn in Ferndale on April 21, 1956. Bob graduated from Richmond High School in 1948, and served with the National Guard from 1948 to 1968, retiring as Captain. He was the owner of Skinner Fruin Buick. He was president of the Metro Buick Dealers Association and President of the MADA. He was a very active fifty year member of the Richmond Rotary Club, serving in many official positions. He received the prestigious "Paul Harris Award", and was recently recognized for his fifty years service. Since 1983 Bob has headed the Salvation Army "Kettles" collecting $365,597.50. He is survived by his wife, Beth; daughter, Leslie (Greg) Pilibosian; daughter-in-law, Denise (James) Venia; grandchildren, Roger Fruin, Chelsey (Luke) Langmesser, Corrin Pilibosian, Nicholas Pilibosian, and Jamie (Jay) Puffpaff. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert "Tiger" Fruin on June 12, 1988. A Funeral Service was Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Rewalt Funeral Home, Richmond. Entombment was in the Richmond Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Richmond Rotary Robert "Tiger" Fruin Scholarship Fund, the Salvation Army or the church. For condolences visit,

Mr. Fruin was the epitomy of a gentleman in all respects. He never failed to bring a smile to my face each time we met. There aren't enough kind words to describe this super man. RIP, Robert. Love to his beautiful family.
