Robert Fuchs

Robert "Bob" John Fuchs passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at the age of 58, at his home in Rochester.

Bob will be lovingly remembered and is survived by his wife of six years, Connie; his mom, Mary Fuchs; brother, Jerry (Patrice) Fuchs; sister, Joan Fuchs; niece, Angela (Chris) Wilhelm; nephews, Gavin (Mayer) Fuchs, Tyler Fuchs and Jordan Fuchs; and great-niece, Adelaide Wilhelm. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Rachel Aljets, and grandchildren, Trey, Tia, Devin, Brent and Ethan.

Bob was born on Sept. 1, 1959, in Pittsburg, Pa., to John and Mary Fuchs. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Mark.

Bob spent most of his life in the Rochester area, primarily on a farm outside of Pine Island, where he learned to love the outdoors and became an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman. Bob graduated from Pine Island High School in 1977, after which he spent many years working for Arnie Gathje Homes learning the craft and building homes. Prior to his passing, Bob had worked at the Salvation Army for 10 years in various positions. He loved his co-workers and brought an enviable work ethic and delightful presence to the store. Bob's big heart and infectious laugh will be fondly remembered by his co-workers, customers, friends and family.

A memorial service and luncheon will be held at at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home. Donations may be made to assist the family at www.gofundme.com/BobFuchs, or in memory of Bob to the Salvation Army Store Rochester North.
