Dear Shirley and Family I was so heartbroke to hear of your loss. I did not find out in time to be with you but please know that we are thinking of you and were always asking if anyone knew when you were coming to the trailer. I put the question again to Joe last night and was very shocked to hear about your loss. Please know that we would have been there if we had knew. Prayers and Love to all of you.

Dear Shirley & the entire Family:
Marv & I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you at this very sad time. Bob was a "Special Cousin" through your Marriage to me and I will always remember his kind and gentle way. So Sorry that we will not be in Windsor for the Mass but we are in Chicago at this time.
Keep your "Treasured Memories" close to your Heart and He will always be with you. I sure admired your relationship with each other in all your years of Marriage.
Our "Deepest and Heartful Sympathy"
Love: Cousin Pat Hynds & Marv DeGraw xx/oo

Grandpa,
I love you and miss you! Thank you for being the man and grandfather that you were. I couldn't have asked for more. I'm terribly sorry that I can't make it back to Ontario, but I'll have my time with you sitting down at the lake to reflect on you.
You were a great man!!!
May the angels escort you to heaven.
I love you!! xoxoxoxoxo
P.S See you at the lake. You'll love it! It's so beautiful!!

I am saddened by the passing of Bob and my condolences go out to his wife Shirley and others of his family. I sat across many a table from Bob during negotiations and found him to be a man of the highest integrity and honour. I not only respected Bob, but I liked him as well, and my life is better for having known him.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Gaines as I always called him, through working with Local 636. He was our rep for awhile. He was a good man, a fair man, a kind man. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family and especially to Shirley his devoted wife. Smile down on us Mr. Gaines. Love Nancy T.
