My husband's good friend and fellow Shriner who was visiting from Brazil met Uncle Gene and although there was a language barrier they communicated thru interpretation. Uncle Gene made quite an impression on our friend Laurindo. He sent this message from Brazil on receiving the news of Uncle Gene's passing.
The original message in Portuguese:
"Que o Grande Arquiteto do Universo o receba e descanse em paz no Oriente Eterno. An unforgettable brother".
The Translation to English:
That the Great Architect of the Universe Welcomes him who shall rest in peace in the Eternal Horizon. He was an unforgettable brother".

Beans, it has been a while, but you and your antics are remembered often, and always bring a smile. To Bob, Deb and families, our sympathies and prayers are with you all during this most difficult time. While your sense of loss may feel overwhelming right now, we hope they may be lessened by the many, many happy and fun memories of sharing time with your Dad. We have lost another Great One. Rest in Peace, Beans
