I am so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. My many memories are from growing up across the street from Grandinettis. We played football and baseball in the dirt road. I remember his getting his first drum sticks. His Mom, Carmella, was going shopping. As she stood in the room repeating her list of things to buy, Bobby would blurt out "drum sticks". And she responded,"No". This went on for a long time.
However when she returned home, she had his drum sticks. RIP, Bobby, and God Bless Your special life with us.

Even though we did not know Bob personally, we can tell you how proud we were of a life so well lived. When my Father in Law, Carmen d'Andrea came to Spokane to visit from Kellogg, he would always take time to visit his Auntie Carmella, his Mama Lucia's sister. We would get a report of the wonderful Grandinettis and always felt connected even though Bob did not know us. A good life makes waves to many people and our family is among them.

It was my pleasure to have worked with Bob for many years. It is fair to say that he was one of Spkane's Finest. His professionalism will be missed.

I remember Bob well from my time working with the City of Spokane in the early 1980s in code enforcement. Such a compassionate man when we were dealing with the elderly. He was a wonderful person.

I considered Bob Grandinetti to be one of my best friends; he was certainly the most colorful. We were neighbors on Browne's Mountain where we raised our children and shared many fond memories. All of the children loved Santa Bob who loved to dress up as Santa Claus and hand out Hershey bars. The children always knew what they would receive at Halloween (a big Hershey bar) and looked forward to trick or treating at his house. I can still hear his laugh as he teased the little ones.
Bob was always a good person to consult for any mechanical or home improvement problem. He was the man to go to for any special tools and generous and humorous free advice.
All of Bob's friends were entertained for hours with his many embellished stories of his police adventures. Many hours were spent laughing around the campfire at Sullivan Lake as Bob told these tales. He always caught the biggest fish and you could join his "Fisherman's Club" if you made his strict qualifications.
Bob was a man who left an indelible memory on anyone who was in his life. He certainly will have a very special place in my heart and I feel like I am a better person having known Bob. I will certainly miss Bob Grandinetti.
