Robert Hague

Robert Stanley Hague was born on December 28th, 1943, in Tacoma, Washington, and passed away on April 9th, 2025, at the age of 81.

Robert grew up in Graham, Washington, attending Kapowsin Grade school and graduated from Bethel High School. During the Vietnam Era, Robert served in the Washington National Guard. As a young man, Robert worked on the construction of Mossyrock Dam. He worked for his brother, Richard, and wife Pat for many years at their business, Wholesale Meats, where he made deliveries, made sausage, and cut meat, if he had to. Although he did not enjoy working the slaughter floor, his experiences from that position enabled him to qualify to become a Food Inspector for the USDA. He spent several years doing slaughter inspection and was promoted to Egg Products Inspector for Wilcox Family Farm in the liquid egg department, where he worked until retirement. Once he retired at age 70, the plan was to relax and get some travel done, but his health prevented that. He developed kidney failure and spent the remainder of his life dependent on three days a week of dialysis. Being stronger than many, he continued to be productive doing work around the house and farm. He enjoyed working on his tractor and tending to his garden. He even put a new metal roof on a large machine shed a few years ago with the help of his son, Matt. He was skilled in construction and was very handy at fixing things as needed. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Robert was predeceased by his namesake, Robert Jr. He is survived by wife, Isabelle, son Matthew, daughter Chelan (Jeff) and grand-children Heaven, Annabelle, Magnolia, and Callahan, all of whom he loved very much. He was uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held April 27th, 1-4pm at Lacamas Community Center
