Robert L. Halstead

April 11, 2007 Robert L. Halstead, 86, of Fulton, died Wednesday at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital. Employed by Nestle Company in Fulton, he retired in 1986 after 46 years. Bob was a member of State Street United Methodist Church, Fulton. A Navy veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theatre of Operations. He enjoyed spending summers at his camp at Black Lake and was an avid fisherman. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Jeanette Davey Halstead; two daughters, Patricia Phillips and Christine (David) Arnold, all of Fulton; six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Stephen, Brian, Scott, Joshua and Katie; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at State Street United Methodist Church, 357 State Street, Fulton, with burial at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
