My Hero
My hero is the quiet type,
No marching bands, no media hype,
But through my eyes it's plain to see,
A hero, God has sent to me.
With gentle strength and quiet pride,
All self-concern is set aside,
To reach out to his fellow man,
And be there with a helping hand.
Heroes are a rarity,
A blessing to humanity.
With all they give and all they do,
I'll bet the thing you never knew,
My hero has always been you.Happy Fathers Day Dad. I LOVE YOU.

Thank you adopting my daughter as part of your grandkid clan. It meant much to her to have a grandpa of her very own. Her message to you is "I love you." Seeing your eyes light up when you talked about something you were passionate is something that I will remember. Thank you so much for sharing a part of your life with me. Rest in peace....

I had the honor and privilege to call Bob my dad. I loved it when we would talk baseball and he would share stories of his youth. He welcomed me into his family and it was one of the best gifts I've ever received from someone. he was an extraordinary man and I will miss him everyday until I see him again in Gods house. Love you dad and say hey to mom for me.

Thank you Dad
Thank you dad!! for the vivid memories. I look back at all the wonderful family gatherings which implanted pictures in my mind. It seems like yesterday we jumped in the car to visit Aunt Dorothy & Uncle Georges for pre-Christmas Eve, Grandma & Grandpa Barnhill on Christmas Eve and every Easter we went to Eugene Oregon to visit Grandma & Grandpa Powers. Thank you dad for those instilled family memories.
Thank you dad for sharing your chocolate bars, the ones from the railroad where you worked so hard. You worked hard each day to insure that mom could stay home with us girls. Because of you dad, you provided a safe and comforting home in a time when a dad went to work each day, and a mom welcomed us girls home.
Thank you dad for those sweet memories.
Thank you dad for sharing your strength and determination. Dad you told me I could not get a horse when I was young. Well I looked up to you and said I will pay for it myself. You said yes to my proposal and off I ran. I took your Idea of mowing lawns in the trailer court where we lived and raise enough money for my first horse, feed and place for him to live. Thank you dad. I learned the value of hard work and determination that stayed with me to this day.
Thank you dad, because of you dad, I pull from your strengths to face my trials head on and work hard to inure a bright and fulfilling life.
Dad this one’s for you from your favorite apostle Paul who taught us to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Colossians 1:9-10
Thank you Dad!!
