MORRISTOWN, NJ Robert A. Heitsenrether, 78, formerly of Myerstown, died Sunday, October 31, 2010, at Care One at Madison, Morristown, NJ. He was the husband of the late Helen M. (Paruso) Heitsenrether who died Oct. 16, 2001. Born in Curwensville, on June 29, 1932, he was the son of the late George E. and Helen (Golden) Heitsenrether. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and had been employed at North American Refractories Womelsdorf, for 37-1/2 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, Myerstown, and was a lifetime member of the Richland American Legion. He is survived by a son, Robert G., husband of Teresa Heitsenrether of Morristown, N.J.; granddaughters, Nicole and Lauren Heitsenrether, both of Morristown, N.J.; brothers, David and Daryl Heitsenrether, both of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Heitsenrether in 1994. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, November 8, 2010, at 10 a.m. from Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, 188 W. McKinley Ave., Myerstown. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assn., 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown, is entrusted with the arrangements. www.grosefuneralhome.com
