Robert "Ace" Holden

Robert "Ace" Holden died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 85 on the first of November, 2013. Robert is survived by his daughters, Laura Valentine (Ryan) and Sarah Cole (Jon) and his grandchildren Abby and Alison Valentine and Jackson and Katie Cole. Robert has been a staple in the Kent community his entire life. Robert owned "Ace's" restaurant for 30 years and prior to that the K-Shoppe. After selling Ace's Restaurant, Robert enjoyed working at area golf courses. He was fortunate to have excellent health and was able to complete the golf season this year. He was very dedicated to his daughters and grandchildren and made frequent trips out of town to visit them. He loved animals and supported the Portage APL. His daughters ask that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Portage Animal Protective League, PO Box 927, Ravenna, Ohio 44266. In honor of his wish, a private service will be held.
