Robert J Hrabak

On Sept 16, 2011 Robert Joseph Hrabak age 82 died peacefully in Ventura, California.
Bob was born October 14, 1928 in Maynard Ohio where he spent his childhood. At eighteen he boarded a train and came to California in 1946 to pursue his dream of becoming an aeronautics engineer.

In 1953 he was drafted into the Army where he served honorably for two years. Bob then embarked on a career working for General Dynamics, Northrop, Lockheed and Hughes Aircraft. At Hughes is where he met Zella Metzer and they married in 1955. Bob continued his career as an electrical engineer at the Pacific Missile Test Center at Point Mugu for 20 years, retiring in 1993.

He enjoyed his family and golf, playing at amateur tournaments throughout California and Nevada. Robert is survived by his children Cynthia Peacock from Upland , California and James Hrabak of Ventura: four grandchildren; Ayrton Peacock 15, Grace Hrabak 11, Daniel Hrabak 8, and Emma Hrabak 6.

Robert will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery Monday September 26, 2011 at 2:15 PM. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at the Ventura Townhouse 4900 Telegraph Rd. in Ventura on Sunday October 16, 2011 at 3 PM.
