Robert A Hudson

Robert A. Hudson (Dr. Andy) of Vista CA. died June 16, 2022 at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in San Diego, CA. He was born May 17, 1956 in Lancaster, Ohio to Robert and Carol (Waits) Hudson. He was a Lancaster High School graduate, class of 1974. He graduated with a Ph.D in Plant Pathology from Ohio State University in 1992. His passion for plants, soils and specifically the field of organics led him to many places in the US. He settled back in San Diego, the last 15 years of his life, the place he loved the most and where he lived in the late 70's and 80's while obtaining his BS from SDSU.

He was the Director of Quality Control / Senior Research Scientist at Westbridge Agricultural Products in Vista, CA. Described by co-workers as a genius, he had the ability to recite an endless supply of knowledge that ONLY Andy could do !

He loved riding his Harley and spending time at the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and the San Diego mountains and beaches taking stunning photographs.

Those that knew him will miss his quick wit, sense of humor and his kind and generous nature.
