Robert Hussey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 24, 2022.
Robert Earl Hussey, of Wiscasset, Maine, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2022. He was only 58. His family is both shocked and devastated by his death. Robert was born January 24, 1964 in Liberty, ME to James F. Hussey and Roberta A. (Hatch) Hussey.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kasha Williams Hussey of Wiscasset, ME; his children, Kayla (Hussey) Bedsaul of Liberty, ME, Connor Williams Noel of Liberty, ME, Jaime Hussey of Boothbay Harbor, ME, and Benjamin Hussey of Raytown, MO; his 6 grandchildren, Kyle Bedsaul, Johnathan Hussey, Evelyn Hussey, Althea Hussey, Xavier Hussey, and Raina Maguire; along with his sisters, brother, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Robert faithfully followed Christ from the age of 12, attending church at Liberty Baptist, Palermo Christian Church, and Woolwich Wiscasset Baptist Church. He was diligent in reading the Bible and reflecting in private prayer. He loved poetry, learning, working with his hands, and music. He was kind, intelligent, strong, thoughtful, happy, and humorous.

Over the course of his life, Robert learned many trade skills that he implemented in his generous services to others, and in building of his beautiful home alongside his wife, Kasha. He served as the Assistant Fire Chief for Liberty for 13 years, and worked at BIW for 32 years, retiring in 2020.

Robert is remembered by his children as a hero, and epic father. They fondly recall the thrilling moments of wild gymnastics and horseplay, his gentle way of teaching skills, the enthralling stories of semi-dangerous escapades, being guided in faith with words of wisdom, and having deep conversations just as often as exchanging puns.

He is dearly missed by all.

Kasha and family, we're so sorry to hear of Robert's passing. He was a great guy. We're still using the soccer goals he and your dad built many years ago.

I remember working with Kasha and through her I met her wonderful husband. He was a kind, gentle soul and loved talking with him. I will always remember him walking hand in hand with Kasha throughout BIW. May God give you and those who loved him peace and comfort.

Sending love and prayers to you all. I never got the chance to meet Robert but I know Kasha and Connor loved him very much and that was enough for me. May he rest in the arms of Jesus peacefully.
