Robert Hutton

HUTTON, Robert Barclay (Bob) At his residence on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Jean. Devoted father to Jean Turner (John Kebe) and Joan (Donald Rivard). Loving Papa to Alexander Turner, Geoffrey Turner and Nicholas Rivard of Ottawa and Cathleen Rivard of Kelowna, BC. Fond brother of Mary Newin of Montreal and James Hutton of London, Ontario, and of the late David Hutton, Jean E. Hutton and Margaret Stott. Bob served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1939 to 1945. He was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 1950 after attending law school at Osgoode Hall. Bob practised law in Ottawa with Beament, Fyfe, Ault, Hutton and Wilson from 1950 to 1970, when he was appointed a Judge of the Provincial Court of Ontario. He served as Senior Provincial Court Judge of Ottawa-Carleton from 1977 until his retirement in 1990. An enthusiastic golfer, Bob was a member of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club for almost 50 years. Bob's family is grateful to the caring staff at Extendicare Starwood. A Memorial Service will be held at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) on Friday, February 18 at 11 a.m., followed by a reception.
