Robert Paul Jasler

Robert Paul Jasler, Born October 31, 1942, age 81, of Cedar Crest, NM, passed away on March 19, 2024, unexpectedly, but peacefully in the morning hours in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He served in the United States Air Force from June 1965 to January 1969. Robert pursued a career as an Albuquerque Police Detective from 1970 to 1987, culminating his service with Albuquerque Crime Stoppers which he was the weekly presenter on local news stations. He lent his expertise to various departments in NM and nationwide to establish local Crimestoppers programs. He spent time teaching Criminology at Cibola High School to future individuals seeking a career in law enforcement. After retiring from the Albuquerque Police Department, he spent his final career as a Fraud Investigator for Sunwest Bank, and Nations Bank.

Robert, a graduate of Highland High School and received his bacholors degree from the University of New Mexico. He was a long time devoted member of the San Antonio Catholic Mission Church from childhood. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, bowling for El Patron restaurant, and painting as he was commissioned for a mural of the Sandia mountains which was displayed in Santa Fe at the Capital building. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, survived by his beloved wife Samantha Jasler, his son and daughter in-law James and Darlene Jasler, daughter Elizabeth Jasler, his sister Wanda Chavez, brothers and sister in-laws Fredrick and Terri Jasler, and Paul Jr. and Carole Jasler, along with grandchildren, Patrice, Matthew, Dallas, Samuel, and great-grandchildren Eliza, and Cody, nieces, and nephews Ted, Amanda, Randy, Fred Jr., Joanna, and Belinda, and many great, and great great, grand nieces, and nephews. He survived his father and mother Paul and Esther Jasler, and brother in-law Manuel Chavez. A memorial service honoring Robert's life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 10:00 am at San Antonio Catholic Mission Church in Cedar Crest, NM. Robert's loving compassion and numerous accomplishments will forever be cherished by his family and all who knew him.
