Robert P. Kinsey Sr.

Robert P. Kinsey, Sr. of Norristown passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family at the age of 81. Born in Norristown to the late Chester and Gertrude (nee Bailey), Robert is survived by his beloved wife Mary (nee Ferrier); loving children Robert P. Kinsey, Jr. (Elizabeth nee Kemery), and Beth Wood (Tim); cherished grandchildren Jillian, Timothy, Sara and Emily, and great-grandchildren James, Carter, and Ryan; caring siblings Chet, Horace, Wayne, Butch and Linda Arcara; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Bob and Mary met their senior year of high school and were married September 20, 1958. They recently celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary. His Daughter Beth adored her father and made her wedding date on September 20th to honor him. Bob was an avid bowler and enjoyed many trips to participate in National Bowling Competitions with his son, Rob. He loved spending his summer vacations in Ocean City, NJ where he took the grandkids to play miniature golf. He also took many cruises to the Caribbean and Hawaii with his wife, and family. He was so thrilled to learn he was going to be a grandfather with the birth of his first granddaughter Jillian. His granddaughters Sara and Emily also enjoyed his love of bowling. He loved hearing about his great grandson James' baseball career. He enjoyed doing his scratch off tickets with his grandson Tim and great-grandson Carter. And also enjoyed many visits from his great grandson Ryan asking for "muffins and candy from the secret stash" His family time was the most important thing to him. Relatives and friends are invited to Robert's Life Celebration on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 3-5 PM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike; interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Robert's name may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association via their website www.lbda.org/donate
