Rob painted this. He called it the lion of strength. He was a lion.

Rob was a good friend I met when I moved to Cincinnati in 2009 and remained such after I left town a few years later. He was a kind soul who knew so much about computers and technology and was a great help when I had IT questions or issues, plus we enjoyed playing tennis and eating out. His intelligence, humor and easy-going demeanor made him a pleasure to be around, and his bravery as his disease progressed was remarkable. My heartfelt condolences to his family and many friends back in Ohio.

I was so blessed to have been able to share time with Rob during the final days of his life. The way he lived his life and never gave up will always be an inspiration to me. There is a Christmas hymn that ends with the words, the weak shall be strong, and none shall be afraid. This so described Rob. In those final days he was so weak, but he was so strong, and he was not afraid!
