Dear Korabik Family,
Bob was a valued friend and colleague at IBM. From daily conference calls to monthly lunches in the Triangle, we shared many laughs, challenges, and experiences together. He was a dedicated leader that committed to honesty and integrity in all of his efforts. In that regard, he would always say that he loved "stirring the pot." Bob was not only a friend, but a mentor to me in many ways. He shared with me his wisdom and knowledge of both work and life, which I will carry-on in my time ahead.
Those of us that worked with him were truly lucky to have him on our teams. Thank you for sharing Bob with us throughout the years. He will be missed.

To the Korabik family: Bob was willing to help his IBM co-workers answer questions, complete documents, resolve issues, etc, whenever asked. I'm sure he was the same with requests for his time and talents from friends and family. He'll be missed. My condolences for your loss.
This is from Cindy's FB page. I love this photo because it says so much about the close bond they all have as a family.

Dear Korabik Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Growing up my Dad coached Bob in basketball in Norridge. My Dad had no sons but loved spending time with Bob. I tagged along to the gym and would watch. I always heard from Della the great stories about Bob and his family. The entire Korabik family are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sad that Bob is gone. From 2010-2013, we worked together. Bob always was forthright, someone you could trust and depend on. He also made sure that there was something to laugh about. Above all, he never hesitated to sing praises about his family. He's in God's hands now. My sincere condolences.

You are all in our prayers and hope you find strength and comfort in those surrounding you at this time. I am still in shock and so saddened to hear that we have lost Bob. Bob's firm but calming voice and his drive to get the job done will be missed. Thank you for sharing the wonderful pictures of Bob and family. When meetings digressed to our personal lives, it was evident that Bob adored his family and was so proud of his sons.
My deepest condolences. May your memories of Bob make you smile and give you comfort and strength.

It was so hard to believe the news of Bob's passing. He was the person doing all the right things and taking good care of himself and others. He was quite the handy man, always generous with his time and willing to help others. He helped me split 2X4s on his table saw for some corn hole boards I was making and helped me figure out what was wrong with a flood light that was not working in our house. He would drop everything to help out right away. My deepest sympathies to his family. Let us know if there is anything we can do to assist in the hard times ahead.

We are all stunned and saddened by Bob's unexplained loss. The world has lost a man filled with kindness, a good hearted man that loved his family, his work and his community. Bob was a giant of a man who touched everyone that met him. We are all blessed to have known him. In reading all the messages here we can see how much he was loved by everyone. Bob lives on through his three sons. I know Bradley, Bryce and Chase are mirror images of their Dad. They have all the goodness in their hearts that Bob had. He was a wonderful father who will be watching over you from a place close to God.

I was shocked to hear of the loss of such a wonderful individual. Bob or Bobby as I called him in our years together in grammar school and then high school. We went to different colleges but maintained our friendship. We went on double dates, stood up at each other's wedding, helped with house projects, celebrated many family events together over the years and created wonderful memories.
What a GREAT friend!!! You will be missed but never forgotten.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Cindy and the boys as well as his father and sisters.

My deepest sympathies to all of his loved ones. Bob and I worked together for many years. He led by example by treating all the way he wished to be treated, was as gentle and kind a soul as they come, and was as humble as he was talented. He had impeccable integrity, set the bar high for all of his team to follow, and instilled in all of his team members the belief that they could reach that bar, if not higher. He led by example, he motivated his peers to refuse to accept less than stellar performance, and he did all of this with a smile and a friendly word to lift your spirits when he knew you needed it the most. A genuine leader, and a humble friend. Lucky to have crossed his path. God speed.

I am speechless and beyond overcome with grief. Even though I have only known you for 2yrs or so, your kindness in spirit shone through. I looked forward to learning from you in our Compliance job role, and cherished our friendly chats about our families and general day to day coping. I will always cherish your sage words you shared with me during our last team lunch with Pritesh. Looking back now it all seems kinda prophetic. I know God in his perfect plan needed you to fix some issues in heaven. I pray that you are happy. We will miss you.

Stunned to hear this...Bob was always there for Brice at baseball functions. He was a tireless batting practice pitcher which is no small feat!
Bob always had a smile on his face and I considered him a friend as a fellow coach for a number of seasons.
Condolences to the family.

I'm struggling for words right now. Bob and I grew up across the street from each other and we were friends before I learned how to walk. We spent countless hours playing pickup games of baseball, football and kick the can. We often ventured out on the bus to Cub games, getting there early and sitting in the bleachers with our mitts hoping to catch a batting practice home run. We also used the bus to go to movies, malls, etc., always counting on Bob to be our expert guide. We constantly wore out our bicycle tires with all the riding we did combing the neighborhood, especially the manufacturing companies by the Norridge Theater, in search of cool things! In the winter we went sledding at Man Made Hill - walking the mile and half to the hill was no big deal.
It was apparent at an early age that Bob had an acumen for working with his hands. We built push carts out of scraps of wood and hardware and hauled them to Man Made Hill in hopes of pushing the limits! Bob was a doer, often seen with a tool in hand tackling another project. Always available to offer a helping hand.
I will remember Bob as being a responsible, energetic and thoughtful friend. The world needs more people like Bob and he will be dearly missed. My sincere condolences to Cindy, Bradley, Bryce, Chase, Uncle Bob, Sharon, Barbara, family members and friends who had the honor of knowing Bob.

I am truly shocked about this news. I would see him running in the morning occasionally when I was out on my run. This news deeply saddens me. I worked with Bob on the HOA and he was always willing to help out. He was a good man. My deepest condolences go out to Cindy and his family. Pern and Mike

I am stunned. Totally shocking.
Bob and I worked together in a project for a couple of years, he was such a nice person. Always trying to do the right thing. We had many many conversations where he always stood out with his personality. I had total confidence in him personally and professionally and always admired his willingness to help out his team.
I feel I lost a trusted colleague, friend and a family member. I can't imagine what his family will be going thru at this hour. May they have strength to pull thru this.
