ROBERT KUBIAK Obituary
68, of Bethel Park, on Monday, October 14, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Linda Hazel Kubiak; son of the late Charles C. and Alice Kubiak; loving father of Traci (Frank) Thomas and Deana Siegrist; brother of Patricia Goodrich, George Kubiak, Richard Kubiak and Carl Kubiak; dear grandfather of Alayna, Allison, Annabel and Ian Thomas, Jenna and Justin Siegrist. Mr. Kubiak was a loving father, grandfather and friend, and was affectionately known as "Pappy" to many who new and loved him. Friends welcome Thursday 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. in FREYVOGEL - SLATER FUNERAL DIRECTORS (412-835-1860) 112 Fort Couch Road, Bethel Park (Opposite Macy's South Hills Village). Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Friday in St. Anne's Church. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his late wife Linda's name to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

Bob and I went through new hire training together at Port Authority and later worked together in the Auto Shop at Manchester. Bob was a great guy to work with as well as being an asset to the maintenance division. Bob had a great work ethic and a great sense of humor as well! I was thinking of Bob only a few days before hearing of his untimely passing.I will miss not having an opportunity to talk or visit with him again. My condolences to all of Bobs' Family.

I wish i had gotten to know cousin Bob better, but i'm thankful for the few occasions when I did meet him. I usually kept up with him thru his brother George and sister Pat. Bob would have made a wonderful friend to anyone. What a great tragedy to lose this man who still retained outstanding construction skills and was so productive and helpful to his family. I wish to pass on the utmost of condolences from our family to his family. Bob, the world thanks you for all you've done for your family & country.

Words can not express to Booby's family the great loss we all suffered that tragic evening. You lost a father, grandfather. Jack & I lost our best friend, mentor and one of the most respected man we were blessed to call our chosen family. With a heavy heart he will be greatly missed.

Traci, Deana & Family,
I wanted to express my sympathy to all of you for the loss of your father. I have many happy memories when John, I and the boys attended many family holidays at Linda and Bobs house. Bob, John and I had a lot of fun conversations and spent some good times together. I have learned through my tragic loss of John that keeping family and friends close and accepting their support can be very helpful during the grieving process. I'm hoping that your happy memories of your Dad/Pappy will sustain you and see you through.

Bob has been a life-long friend to me and my wife Noreen .. Growing up in Beechview in the 50's and 60'swas fun when you had a good friend to share .. I will always remember the good times we had .. The music we loved .. The friends we shared ... and the many years that we remained friends when Noreen and I lived in Maryland for 21 years .. I know Bob's passing will leave a great void in the lives of Tracy, Deana and their families. Hopefully the good memories of Bob's loving and caring ways will give them peace and from time to time a warm smile ..God Bless and keep them as Bob watches over from above ..

To Alayna, Deana and Michele, Jenna, Justin, Traci, Frank, Allie, Annabel, Ian, and Tink - I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm even sorrier this side of our family has been a bit fragmented since Linda left us. I have good memories of Uncle Bob growing up (in fact, for either my confirmation or when I became Alayna's God father, I remember he bought me my suit! Bob and Linda were also kind enough to bury my childhood dog, Puddles, in the yard out back so I had a place to visit her.). I hope your memories will give you comfort. Sending this with a prayer for Uncle Bob and the family all-around.
