CONNEAUT, Ohio — Robert B. Lamb, 80, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Thursday evening, March 25, at Ashtabula County Nursing Home, Kingsville, Ohio, where he had been a patient for the past two days.
He was born Nov. 10, 1929, in Meadville, a son of Donald and Ida Beebe Lamb.
A Conneaut resident since 1959, Mr. Lamb served for one year in the U.S. Navy following World War II, and was in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed for 30 years at Reactive Metals in Ashtabula, Ohio, retiring in 1988.
He was a member of Amboy United Methodist Church, the Conneaut Area Historical Society, the National Rifle Association and the B-47 Stratojet Association. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, camping and the outdoors, and smoking his pipe.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Toboz Lamb, whom he married in 1958; a daughter Kathy (Larry) Huffman of Ashtabula; and a son, Greg Lamb of Conneaut.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Kathryn Lamb.
Friends may call at Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 6.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at Amboy United Methodist Church, 554 West Main Road, Conneaut, with the Rev. Elaine Turner and the Rev. Michael Teston officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Conneaut Area Historical Society, Amboy United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Western Reserve. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and at the church.

Nancy, Kathy, Larry and Greg - our thoughts are with you and we wish we could be there for you. Your dad was a great guy and we'll miss him. I still use some of his great "sayings" to this day. Love you all.

Bob gave great service to his country. He and I were in the 306th BW and he was the first person I met at the first B-47 Association Reunion in Omaha.
His smile and humor will always be remembered.
