Robert Allan "Bob" Lamb

Robert Allan Lamb, also known as Bob, passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 83 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Born on October 4, 1940, in Portland, Oregon, Bob was a beloved local business owner in the Portland metro area. He owned Lamb's Thriftways, Wilsonville Lanes, and Mt Hood Lanes, where he dedicated his time and energy. Bob's passion for his work was only surpassed by his love for leisure activities.

When he wasn't tending to his businesses, you could find Bob on a local golf course, enjoying a day on a boat in the river, or gracefully skiing down the mountain. His adventurous spirit allowed him to explore the world and create cherished memories throughout his life.

Bob is survived by his brother, Colin Lamb of Newberg, Oregon, his daughter Kelli Smith and son-in-law Nathan Smith of Ritzville, Washington, his grandson Connor Smith, and great-granddaughter Harley Ann Smith, both from Kelso, Washington. He was preceded in death by his father, Forest Lamb, his mother, Genevieve Lamb, and his brother Gary Lamb.

Bob pursued higher education at Michigan State, which provided him with a strong foundation for his successful career. He began working in his father's grocery store, Lamb's Garden Home Thriftway, before eventually venturing out to establish his own stores, Lambs Thriftway, Wilsonville Lanes, and MT.HOOD Lanes.

In his free time, Bob indulged in various hobbies that brought him joy and excitement. He loved water skiing, snow skiing, boating, golfing, and traveling around the world. These activities allowed him to embrace life to the fullest and create lasting memories.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2 PM at the Columbia River Yacht Club. Following the service, friends and family will gather to share stories and support one another. The funeral home assisting with the arrangements is located in Arizona.

Bob's vibrant spirit and dedication to his community will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration for those who mourn his loss.
