Robert A. Land

Robert "Bob" Land,53, of Houston, Texas passed away February 28, 2019 at the Houston Hospital. He was born on November 14, 1965 in Kanas City, Missouri to Lester and Gloria (Shelman) Land.

Bob married Gayla Vitt on June 20th, 1987 at the Centerville Community Church near Parker, Kansas.
He attended high school at Prairie View in LaCygne, Kansas. Bob also attended Pittsburg State University in 1984. He worked at the Land Tool Room in Parker, Kansas for over 20 years as a machinist before moving to Houston, Texas where he was a Texas United Realtor and was a contractor as a home improvement specialist.

He is survived by his wife Gayla Land; two sisters Vera "Tiger" Borum of Parker, Kansas and Shirley Land of Independence, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bob was a son-in-law to Don and Vera Vitt in rural St. Paul, Kansas.

Bob was an active member in the Chamber of Commerce in Cypress, Texas, enjoyed boating, camping, and enjoyed training several dogs currently with his dog "Ace". He was an organ donor and member of the Masonic Lodge at Parker, Kansas for many years.

Services will be held on April 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Centerville Community Church at Centerville, Kansas with Pastor Nancy Snyder-Killingsworth officiating. Cremation has taken place in Houston, Texas. Burial will follow at the Goodrich Cemetery, south of Parker, Kansas. The Masonic Lodge will provide services at cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to attend a meal and fellowship at the Parker Masonic Lodge Hall at Parker, Kansas. The family requests memorials are made to the Parker Masonic Lodge Hall to provide help to others in need.
