Robert Stanley Larson

Larson, Robert Stanley Robert, age 87, died on April 19, 2011. He will be greatly missed. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (2/10/2011) and sister, Harriett Ohlson. He is survived by stepchildren, Sandra McCalvy, Tom (Judy) Unstad, Jan Unstad; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob graduated from Roosevelt High School. He owned his own parts company, worked at Fairview Southdale Hospital, and worked at Mt. Olivet Home, where he lived during his last years. In 1969, Bob was Master of the Minnehaha Lodge #165 AF & AM. He was a member of the Zuhrah Shrine Drum Corps. Bob kept our family cars running even when we failed at maintenance. We called him the Last Chance Garage. He taught us golf and spent hours at the driving range helping our swings. For many years he and Dorothy took trips in their motor home, and every August they were at the Fisherman's Picnic in Grand Marais. Service: Tuesday April 26, 2011.
