Robert (Bob) George Leinweber, loving husband of Diane Louise Leinweber (nee Draffin), of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on March 16, 2018 at the age of 75 years. Bob had a long and rewarding career as a counselor and teacher at Lord Shaughnessy High School. In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling the world with Diane and spending many hours volunteering alongside his close friends at the Rocky Mountain Rail Society. Bob's other great love was spending time with his kids and grandchildren and cheering on the Calgary Hitmen. Bob was the proud recipient of the Alberta Centennial Award for Volunteerism. We can't forget to mention that in Bob's seventy-five years he never missed a Calgary Stampede Parade or rodeo final. Besides his loving wife, Diane; Bob is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Sharon Leinweber and Rafael Sola; and grandchildren Ruby and Arlo Trand. He is also survived by his stepdaughter Michelle MacDonell (Don Havens); stepson Trevor MacDonell (Kelly) and granddaughter Niamh; stepdaughter Laura Larsen (Kevin) and grandsons Isaac and Eli; and sister-in-law Arlene Draffin Jones. Bob was predeceased by his beloved daughter Lisa Lynn Leinweber, and parents Bert and Evelyn Leinweber. Funeral Services will be held at Deer Park United Church (77 Deer Point Road S.E., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall.
