ROBERT MICHAEL LEVERETTE, SR.

Mr. Robert Michael Leverette, Sr., 70 of Bolingbroke, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 24, 2009. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Luther Strickland, Jr. will officiate. The family will meet friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home and can be contacted at the residence of Kathy and Brett Hendley. The family suggests that donations be made to Hospice Care Options, 1125 Walnut Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.

Mr. Leverette was born in Thomas County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Robert Euston Leverette and the late Maisie Stephenson Leverette. He was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a retired architectural draftsman and attended Day Star Church. Mr. Leverette was an avid reader, a pipe collector, and was also a model train collector.

Mr. Leverette is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jeanette M. Leverette of Bolingbroke, his children, Robert (Stacy) Leverette, Jr. of Cochran, Charles E. Leverette of Macon, Vickie (Scott) Gordon of Austell, Ga., Kathy (Brett) Hendley of Macon, and Nancy Willis of Alpharetta, Georgia. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Chelsea Leverette, Julianna Leverette, Rachael Leverette, Hayden Leverette, Scott Gordon, and Blake Hendley. He is also survived by 2 brothers; Jerry (June) Leverette of Lilburn, and Jeff (Renee) Leverette of Byron, his sisters; Pam (Tom) Gay of Byron, and Janice Hill of Kingsport, Tennessee and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Leverette was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Brooke Hendley.

Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge of arrangements.
