Robert Loof Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 5, 2009.
Robert Loof passed away on August 5, 2009 surrounded by his family. Bob was a longtime resident of Torrance, CA. Born on April 7, 1934 in Milwaukee, WI, Bob served in the US Air Force and afterwards earned a degree from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He had a career as a computer engineer working for companies such as GE, Honeywell, Wang and Dell. Bob was a devoted, loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed being a Eucharistic minister at St. Lawrence Martyr Church, bowling in the senior league, traveling, gardening, walking at the beach, reading, cooking and most of all being with his family. He loved to prepare the house for holidays and family visits. He was an intelligent, selfless, generous and caring man who was always thinking of and doing for others. His wisdom, counsel, quick and sometime quirky sense of humor and laughter will be dearly missed. Cherishing his memory are his wife of 44 years, Pamela Loof; his three children, Cheryl Loof, Catherine Loof and Stephen Loof; his two granddaughters, Eden Clark and Madison Noel; and his sister Dolores Schmitz. He is preceded in death by his father Clarence Loof and mother Carol Loof. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Martyr Church, 1900 South Prospect Ave in Redondo Beach. Reception to follow.
