ROBERT E. SR., "BOB"
Age 93, of Harrisville, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 while under the care of Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville. Born August 11, 1920 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Albert and Anna (Lipke) Lorentz. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enjoyed his job operating movie projectors and fishing. He is survived by his step-daughter, Sharon L. Friedel and her husband, Raymond, of Cranberry Township; his step-grandchildren, Kimberly Hummel and her husband, John, of Rochester and Steven Friedel and his wife, Sharon, of New Stanton; and his sister, Lois McCully of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace V. Lorentz, who passed away on October 6, 1974; his brother Al Lorentz and his two sisters, Martha Walters and Jean Baird. Bob's family will welcome friends on Wednesday from 2-6 P.M. at GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 130 Wisconsin Avenue, Cranberry Township, PA 16066. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Andrew Shaffer, officiating. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor in support of the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205 or the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
