So very sorry to hear about Bobby's passing. As an old neighbor, I have nothing but the fondest memories of Bobby, his sisters Diane, Judy, and Vevy, Erika and of course Bobby's mom lovingly referred to as Chick. As I viewed through the tribute video, it became quite apparent that he was always a loving father and husband. My deepest sympathies to Bobby's family.

Marilyn ... Please accept my most sincere condolences on Bobby's passing. Although I didn't know either one of you outside of the work environment , I am sure glad I knew you there. Every time Bobby and I had a chat at work, mostly because of his unique cryptic, dry humor, we both ended up cracking up and havin' a hearty laugh. He just was that kind of a great person to know. I know the grief now is overwhelming, but you're a tough lady, and you will see.... it will never entirely pass, but down the road, your fond memories will replace the biggest part of it, and then you'll be fine.

Hi Marilyn. I am so so saddened by Bob´s passing. He was a great guy.
Whenever I think of our softball championship season, he is the one who comes to my mind first. I remember him throwing the scorebook up in the air and running out to the mound to celebrate. Great coach-great friend.

Thank you for being like a second dad to me. From the day I met you, you made me feel welcomed as part of the family. That made me proud to know that you trusted me with your Johnny, which you wouldn’t do for just anyone. I could tell in your own way that you loved and appreciated me and boy did I love you! I always admired how fiercely you loved your family. Yes, it showed in the last few years how hard you fought, but also in the best of health- you would take down anyone who disrespected your wife and your kids! You protected them, and you honored them. You worked so hard for them and everything you did was for them. I loved sitting next to you Christmas morning each year and watching you, watch them, open their gifts. They may not have seen that, but I always did because “my spot” was sitting on the floor to your right. I have many fond memories through the years, including light shows during Christmas, driving around and hearing you and John catch up, enjoying holidays (and food, your primary motivator), the celebrations this year (Stag party, Sam’s Wedding, your birthday, and your 40th anniversary) and going to your spot- Castle Craig this past summer with you and John was very special. Last but not least, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how absolutely HILARIOUS you were. The one liners and zingers you used to throw out there about others or about a situation going on were just so damn funny. You always cracked me up and your smile or your sly smirk after those zingers, lit up the room. I promise to continue to be here to support John and the Lynes family who you loved so much. Rest In Peace, my buddy.

My sincerest condolences to Bob's family. I worked with Bob at Pratt & Whitney for many years, starting in North Haven and he was a valued member of his work family. I never knew anyone more dedicated to ensuring that everything was done correctly and well. I will miss the many good times we shared at work and the help he gave us all whenever it was needed.

Fruit
One day they’ll look around and ask
How did it all get here?
Who built that house,
And made it a home-
With the blinding light
Shining from within?
Who built that family,
So full of love
I can feel it
Before I walk over?
Who created a community,
Dreamed of this world
Where everyone was welcome
No matter who they were?
One day we’ll tell them
Oh, that’s Robert’s house,
He made it so we’d all have a place called home.
Oh, that’s Robert’s family,
He showed them, by example, everything love should be.
And that community?
The one where everyone belongs?
That-
That’s Bobby’s legacy.
And it will last forever.

Thank you for everything you have always done for me and always being there for me! You were the strongest man I have ever known and you fought so hard to be here for the big moments and I’m grateful for that!
Thank you for being the best Daddy a daughter could ask for and walking me down the aisle at my wedding and dancing with me! I will cherish that day and all the memories we have had together forever! You are my hero!
I will always be your little girl! I love you so very much, more than words can express!
