of Johnson CityRobert H. MacBlane, of Johnson City, N.Y., went to be with the Lord on Saturday afternoon, June 25, 2005, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Marie MacBlane, Johnson City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and John Huften, Holly and Robert Belveg, all of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Stephanie and Michael Belveg, Amanda and Brittney Huften; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilbur and Theresa MacBlane, Thomas and Diane MacBlane, all of Johnson City; one sister, Rachel Oranchak; several nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City. He was a retired employee of IBM Corporation, Endicott, with 33 years of service. A veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, card player and enjoyed his summer days with his family at the cottage.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Hospice Program c/o Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905, in Robert H. MacBlane's memory.
