Robert Maire Obituary
Robert J. Maire, age 82, of Port Clinton, died Thursday, March 08, 2012, in Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born on September 20, 1929 in Millbury to August and Lilly (Barrett) Maire. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed as an iron worker for Local 55. Robert married the former Ruth Perry on January 27, 1951 in Toledo. In his spare time he enjoyed boating, fishing and traveling.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ruth; children, Bonnie West, Mary (the Late Mike) Melnek, David Maire and Robin (Doug) Haymier; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Family and Friends will be received on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 2-8pm in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) where funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 12th at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
