Robert Mange

Robert Mange, 82, of North Ridgeville died peacefully in his sleep on January 11, 2019, after a lengthy illness. Bob was born on February 26, 1936, in Anniston, Alabama to Garvin and Lula Mange. Bob was an Eagle Scout. He attended Jacksonville State and had a career with Norfolk Southern railroad in their marketing department. He was a member of the American Society of Traffic and Transportation and a member of Phi Mu Alpha Musical Fraternity. He was an avid Barbershopper singing whenever he could. He was a member of Kelly's Gang Barbershop Quartet. He enjoyed square dancing, Hobie Cat sailing, tennis, camping out west with his family. He also enjoyed traveling, golfing at Lakewood Country Club and cruising with Jan. Bob was a huge University of Alabama fan, ROLL TIDE ROLL! Bob was happily married for 60 years to Janet (nee Bishop). Together they raised their two children, Leigh Mange (Peter) Davenport and their late son David Markey Mange. David is survived by his wife Deborah Wetklow Mange.. Bob was the grandfather of Daniel Peter Davenport, Nathan David Mange, Analyn Melodie Mange and the late Matthew Robert Davenport; and his nieces and nephews, Stephen Kennedy Mange, Cindy Mange Brookshire, Nancy Mange Shull and Phillip Mange. A memorial service will be held for Bob at the Dover Congregational Church, 2239 Dover Center Rd, Westlake, OH 44145 on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow.
