He was an experienced sailor and boater as a result of spending summers since childhood at Lake Vermilion, where, with his family, grandchildren, and friends he had many wonderful times. Thank you for all the happy memories - from playing Capture the Flag in your yard on Maple Road to spending time at the magical Daisy Island (best blueberry pancakes-ever!). My thoughts are with your family.

Hi Aunt Diane - I love you and have been thinking a lot about you and am so greatful to have had Uncle Bob as my God Father and you as my God Mother. I have nothing but very happy memories from tennis to the cabin - my most loving memories are just what incredible friends dad and he were. They didn't have to talk - they knew!! You are in my thoughts and prayers - love Laura (John, Maddie and Colin)McConkey
See you tomorrow!

Dear Diane, we were saddened to learn of Bob's death. Just today (Wednesday 10-28, about noon), Sue and I were out visiting Ike, and tried to come to see you and Bob. You were such a caring, devoted wife, Dianne, and Sue and I were quite touched with your care. Sue and Mendal Mearkle, Apple Valley.
