We just today learned of Dr. Rob's death, and are so very sorry. I met him a year ago in Victoria where he was specialist for my sister's cat's heart problems. That he was an extraordinarily talented vet was evident from the tender way he handled and spoke to this little animal. But what really set him apart was the calm, patient and gentle way he took care of my sister while taking care of her companion animal. He listened, explained, counselled, and even managed to make her smile. He was clearly in touch with his humanity and open about sharing it. We will miss you, Dr. Rob, and we will never forget your very special soul............Know that we are holding your family and friends in our hearts.

I became friends with Rob while we were in the drum corps together. He was an amazing person! I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Such a shock. Please accept my condolences at this most difficult time.
