Robert Mattera Obituary
Dingmans Ferry - Robert A. Mattera Sr, 79, of Dingmans Ferry, PA passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Newton Memorial Hospital, Newton, NJ. He worked as a Police Detective for North Plainfield, NJ, a member of local 285 Police Benevolent Association, North Plainfield, NJ and United States Army Veteran.
The son of the late Joseph and Anne (Cramer) Mattera, he was born June 2, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY.
Robert leaves behind his sons; Robert A. Mattera Jr. and Elizabeth of Westtown, NY and John Mattera and Michele of Greenville, NY, brother; Raymond Mattera of Toms River, NJ, 9 grandchildren and companion, Dorothy Del Greco.
Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 3 to 6:30 PM. Funeral services will follow 6:30 PM at the funeral home with Deacon Joe D'Aiello officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
