On September 23, 1989 he married his life partner Cathy Boone of Madison, WI. Bob was also the owner and operator of California Strikeline Pro Shop.

Bob is survived by his wife of almost 35 years Cathy (Boone), sister Lynn (Charles) Rogers of Sheboygan, WI, brother David (Jane) Mayer of Sheboygan, WI, sister-in-law Sue Steinhofer of Mesa, AZ, and Cheryl Shoush of Scottsdale, AZ, foster sister Barbara Althen, godsister Marilyn Melger, nephews Andrew Wagner, David Wagner (fiancée Maritza Allen), Josh (Natalie) Mayer, niece Rachel (Aaron) Ristau, nephew Elijah Mayer (fiancée Marissa Schroeder), goddaughter Christy (Mike) Ludwig and his special pet Tootsie.

Bob's family would like to thank his many friends that took time to visit him through his long stay in the hospital.

Bob will be remembered as the best at being a BIG brother and will be dearly missed.
