Robert Alexander McCormack

Robert A. McCormack, 53, of Plymouth, MA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 3, 2015. Born on December 29, 1961, in Suffren, NY, he was the son of the late Gilbert McCormack of NY and the late Jean C McCormack of Harwich, MA. He was predeceased by his beloved twin sister Nancy C. Wood. Robbie is survived by his brother Gilbert E. McCormack, Jr. of Rutland, VT, and his sister Cynthia J. Herlihy and her husband Dan of Mashpee, MA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Robbie grew up in Blauvelt, NY and graduated from Tappan Zee High School, Class of 1980. His entire life he spent his summers on Long Beach Island NJ swimming, surfing, and once old enough, life guarding. He relocated to Harwich, MA in 1982 and then moved to Plymouth in 1985 where has lived ever since. Robbie was a generous person who helped many, He loved the beach, his garden and fishing in the many ponds in Plymouth. He was a humorous fun loving guy who will be sorely missed by many. Visiting hours will be held in the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth on Tuesday, July 14th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by a service in the funeral home at 12:30. Interment will follow in the Great Neck Woods Cemetery, Mashpee, MA.
