Cindy,

I heard about Bob's death from Mindy Markvan, but it was too late for me to come to the ceremony. I am so, so sorry. I want to say I know what you're going through, given that my mom and my brother (Philip) have both died in the last two years, so while different in some ways,I do know how long those first months are and how you continue to feel it for good. Bob was at the top of my list of "people I will definitely see again someday." Once again, I guess I was wrong on that score. I hope to come see you when I am home in July. Till then, please know that my thoughts have been consistently with you since I heard. You and Bob were an immeasurably important part of my formative years.

Ever fondly,

Margaret Hanson

the times i spent with bob were by far the funnest. i never really trained as seriously with him as he had with my sister, amber, but i have trained with him and hung around him considering he was always with amber riding. He was loved by so many people and so many kids im sure miss him a lot. you have to agree that bob McCullough was a very loving husband and trainer to many people and he will always be remembered. (one way by the bracelets) thanks to lexi for the cancer bracelts

the time i got to spend around bob was by far the funnest that i had. i never really got to train with him a lot like my sister but i spent a lot of time around him and sometimes training with him, since he was with her. i really do miss him but i dont think that the fact he is gone has really set into my head yet which is sad. i am going to miss him. People that met him have to agree he was a wonderful trainer and friend and will always be remembered

Cindy -

I was heartbroken to hear about Bob. He was such an integral part of my childhood -- one of the reasons I was such a barn rat -- and I still remember your wedding like it was yesterday.

I hope your incredible circle of friends gets you through this most difficult time. Our thoughts are with you, and Posie sends her love from Africa.

Bob was a good friend during our growing up years and it was obvious to all who knew him that he was destined for great things. Although it has been 20 years or more since we last spoke, time and distance has not faded the many memories I have of him throughout high school and college. My condolences to the entire McCullough family.

Dear Cindy,

Katie's life at Blackburn Farms (and my life, vicariously)was many years ago but still very close in her heart. I sent the obituary on to her, because she remembers Bob as the "best trail ride leader ever." Our sympathy goes to you. Joanna and Katie Schultz
