Robert McGorry Obituary
Bob was born on June 15, 1946 in Bronxville, New York and graduated from Manhattan College with a B.S. in 1969 and an M.B.A. in 1979. Bob served in the New York National Guard and spent 26 years in telecommunications. In retirement he pursued a wide range of creative projects and interests. He was a builder, a dreamer, and a man of vision.
Bob was the loving father of five girls and now rests with his predeceased son Robert Michael and parents Helen and Henry McGorry of Crestwood, NY.
His children are Amy and her husband Ryan Farrell of Brewster, MA; Meghan and her husband Michael Burchianti of Louisville, KY; Kelly and her husband Robert Shine of Bronxville, NY; Lindsay and her husband Joseph Mahoney of Crestwood, NY; and Kaitlin of Eastham and her fiancé Benjamin Craig of San Diego. Bob was the brother of James McGorry of Centennial, CO, the proud and charismatic PopPop to seven grandchildren and the supportive and loving Uncle Bob to many nieces and nephews.
His visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. in the Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA. His funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11am in St. Joan of Arc Church, 61 Canal Road, Orleans, MA, followed by his burial in Orleans Cemetery, Orleans, MA.
His family will forever remember his bravery and strength asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to VNA of Cape Cod Hospice and/or the "Brain Tumor Research Fund" at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. For online condolences, please visit www.nickersonfunerals.com

Sending you lots of love & sympathy. I'm thinking of you all and remembering so many great times with Bob at 538 Saw Mill River Road & a really nice visit with you in Eastham just a few years ago. The slide show was such a nice tribute to Bob and all his girls. He was obviously so proud of his family.
