Robert MCLEOD Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert "Robin" McLeod, on August 19, 2016 at age of 79. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Marcelle. He will also be sadly missed by his sons Christopher (Felicity) and Timothy, stepsons Martin (Chantal) and Gilbert (Sophie), grandchildren Daimon, Emma and Liam, sister Joanna Palmer, niece, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Dr. McLeod had a very successful career as a surgeon working at the Lakeshore General Hospital for over 43 years. He will be remembered for the love of his family, his devotion toward his patients, his generosity, the passion he had for outdoor activities such as golf, tennis and alpine skiing. Friends, colleagues, and family are invited to a gathering at La Maison Trestler, 85 Chemin de la Commune, Vaudreuil-Dorion J7V 2C3 (514-695-7979), on Sunday, August 28 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held at the same location on Monday, August 29 at 11 a.m. Special thanks to the staff and volunteers of the West Island Palliative Care Residence Pavilion Stillview for providing Robin with compassionate and dignified care in the last days of his life. We will forever be grateful. Donations to the WIPCR (www.wipcr.ca, 514-693-1718) would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Voluntas (www.voluntas.ca, 514-695-7979).

So sad to have heard of Dr. McLeod's passing. His loss to us as a person and a doctor is still deeply felt. He was such a great doctor, with such an air of confidence, you felt safe in his hands.
His calm manner was so reassuring. The day of my operation, there was a backlog, but Dr. McLeod went and found me and reassured me that I would not be forgotten.
My deepest sympathies go out to his family.

Dr. McLeod was my surgeon on a number of occasions and I am very thankful to him for his wonderful skills and care.

My deepest condolences to Chris, Tim, Marcel, and family. I basically grew up with Dr. McLeod as my back door neighbour while I was growing up in Baie d'Urfe and his heart and home was always an open door for us rowdy neighborhood kids. I am grateful to him, he really helped my family when we were at a great loss. He was always there for the neighbors and kids like me. I remember his lovely cottage at Tremblant, and a visit to Matisse one summer where he opened his house for my family as well. I have so many fond memories ... He will be missed but is always loved. Peace be with you, Chris and Tim. My thoughts are with you... xo

I was so fortunate to have been a patient of Dr. McLeod for over 20 years. He was one of the most caring and compassionate people I have ever met . He was an amazing Doctor and will be forever missed by so many people . Dr. McLeod was a very special person who had a huge impact on me as a young boy. It can't be adequately described how lucky I was to have him as a father figure in my life. He was generous and caring and just plain fun to be around. He will always be remembered for his strong character and most of all his great sense of humor. Dr. Robin will be greatly missed, but never forgotten! My deepest sympathies to the McLeod clan.
