HARTSVILLE -- Graveside services for Robert E. "T-Bone" Moore Jr., 52, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov 2, 2002, in Magnolia Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Jeri Parris Perkins will officiate and Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is in charge. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 213 W. Home Ave., Hartsville, SC 29550; West Hartsville Baptist Church, 1003 W. Carolina Ave., Hartsville, SC 29550; or the SC Waterfowl Association, 9833 Old River Road, Pinewood, SC 29125.
Mr. Moore died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002. Born in Darlington County, he was the son of Tessie "Doll" Segars Moore and the late Robert Eddie Moore Sr. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Entomology and Masters of Agriculture degree from Clemson University. He was president of Agriservices, Inc. and Pee Dee Warehouse, Inc., Bishopville. He was a producer delegate to the National Cotton Council, member of the Board of Directors for the Southern Cotton Growers Association, past president of the SC Cotton Consultants, and in 1988 was named the Cotton Farming Consultant of the Year.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Dunlap Moore of Hartsville; son, Robert E. Moore III of Hartsville; daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Jon Byrd of Hartsville; mother, Doll Moore of Hartsville; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Danny Hall of Hartsville; grandmother, Tessie Woodham Segars of Hartsville.
