ROBERT MICHAEL
Age 70, of Penn Hills, passed away on February 24, 2018. Beloved husband of Robin (Onder) Newham; loving father of Christopher (Tara) Newham, of Pittsburgh, Craig Newham, of Pittsburgh, and Chad Newham, of Orlando, FL; cherished grandfather of Kolton Robert Newham. He is also survived by siblings, Barbara (Tom) McKittrick, of Pittsburgh, Donald (Mary) Newham, of Pittsburgh, Donna (Jim) Gamrod, of Pittsburgh, and Michael (Amy) Newham, of Arizona. Bob cherished his many cousins, other family members, and devoted friends. Bob was a retired special education teacher in the Penn Hills School District, was a volunteer at the Pittsburgh Zoo, CCD teacher at St. Bernadette for many years, and he was a proud member of the Schweizer Maennerchor Helvetia (The Swiss Singers). He was a good teacher who truly cared about his students. He also loved to cook and eat, but most of all he loved his family. Friends will be received Monday, 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE / PLUM CHAPEL), corner of (445) Beatty Rd. and 48 North, Monroeville, (412-856-4747). Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 11 a.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, with Father Richard J. Tusky, officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to The Ellis School at www.theellisschool.org.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. I had the pleasure of being one of his principals while he was at Penn Hills Senior High School. He was always pleasant and upbeat. His students always enjoyed going to his class.
I also had the unique pleasure of being a docent with Bob at the Pittsburgh Zoo. He was so excited to become a docent and really enjoyed it.
My prayers and thoughts go out to you and the family. May God bless him and help each of you through this rough time.

Donna and the entire Newham family. I was blessed to know Bobby. I've known Donna for over 40 years,Bobby and the entire newham family are one of the friendliest and kindest I know. Robin you got a great guy. God bless you all. He is in the arms of many angles.
