Robert P. "Bob" Nordloh

Age 66 - Cincinnati, Ohio

Robert P. Nordloh ("Bob"), of Cincinnati, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife Becky Hyde-Nordloh, son Jamal Anderson, and family.

He was born on September 23, 1958 - his grandfather's birthday - to Robert and Ruth Nordloh, the first grandson of beloved "Papa." Bob was a proud graduate of Moeller High School and Thomas More College. He dedicated 35 years of his career to Deskey and 17 years to Accounting Consulting Group as the co-owner, and most recently at The Skyler, leaving all organizations better for his contributions.

He gave freely of himself in countless ways: through volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters; pet therapy visits at Summit Behavioral Center; donating gallons of blood and platelets at Hoxworth; or simply lending a hand to neighbors by mowing a lawn, painting a room, or looking after their pets. He was also a tireless supporter of family, friends, and community causes, never hesitating to show up for fundraising events, walks, golf outings, parades, and galas.

A man of adventure, Bob found joy in exploring the world with his wife and family. He biked through Ireland, skied across the mountains of the Northwest, and even canoed the Zambezi River alongside hippos and crocodiles. His travels took him to Scotland, Zimbabwe, New Zealand, Italy, Canada, St. John/US Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, and to national and state parks throughout the U.S., where he especially enjoyed hiking and camping.

Through his church, Crossroads, Bob poured his heart into service: building homes in Mamelodi, South Africa; painting Cincinnati public schools; planting trees in local parks; improving community gardens; and supporting tutoring programs.

Bob also loved life's lighter moments. He enjoyed spending time with his three dogs, often including them on vacations and camping trips. Bob was an avid golfer who relished making silly wagers with his brother-in-law, Jack. He found delight in costumes, parades, and themed fundraisers-always going "all in." His wit shone brightest in his unforgettable pranks and gift-giving: from five-pound candy bars and shoeboxes stuffed with gum to circus peanuts, pickle loaf, and even trash bags filled with a mix of real and play money. In true Bob fashion, nothing was ever done small scale.

Above all, Bob cherished his family. He is survived by his devoted wife and son, as well as his beloved sisters, whom he described as "beautiful, talented, and thoughtful": Nancy Nordloh Neville (Bruce), Beth Mitchell (the late Dick), and Jan Krehbiel (Rob). He is also survived by his sister-in-law Stephanie Putnam (Jack) and brother-in-law Chip Hyde (Julie). He was the adored uncle of Cary, Burke, Emily, Kate, Maggie, Amy, Matt, Sara, Jackie, Trey, Chelsea, Wesley, Kaiti, Nate, Liz, and Nick, and a proud great-uncle to 32 great nieces and nephews. To them all, he will forever be "Our Favorite Uncle Bob"... and no, he didn't have to pay them to say it!

Even in death, Bob continues his spirit of giving by donating his body to the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. In honor of Bob's legacy, please consider making a gift to Cincinnati Youth Collaborative (CYC), 301 Oak Street, Cincinnati, OH 45219; becoming a blood or platelet donor; registering with NMDP (Formerly Be The Match); or supporting the charity of your choice.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Crossroads-Oakley, 3500 Madison Road, Cincinnati. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm with a brief service at 2:30 pm, followed by a celebration to continue honoring Bob in true "Bob style."

Bob lived a life of generosity, laughter, and love, and he leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

What an amazing man -for family, friends, strangers in need . In just 66 yrs, how did he work so hard- with such generosity - wit/ humor included!
His energy and light will never be gone-it lives on, even in this terrible time. I am so sorry.
