Robert E. O'Connor Sr., 83, formerly of Easton, died Saturday, April 21, 2007 in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was reunited in love with his God and the love of his life, wife, Verna M. Franklin O'Connor. Born: In Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late John Joseph and Mary Ellen Woodring O'Connor. Personal: He worked for various oil companies in the Easton area. He attended Temple University and was a heating and plumbing instructor for Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School, retiring in 1984. Robert loved life and was a people person. He enjoyed boating, motorcycling, hiking, biking, camping and helping people. Memberships: He was a former member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Easton. An Army veteran of WW II, he was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Easton and the Liberty Hose Fire Co., Easton. Survivors: Son, Robert E. O'Connor, Jr., and his wife, Margaret, of Miami Fla., daughter, Verna-Ann, wife of Joseph Tacker of Allentown, with whom he resided for more than 20 years; brother, John Joseph of Easton, grandchildren, Tara, Erin, Shannon and Sean. Services: Will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, Coplay.

Dear Verna-Ann and Bobby, I was sorry to read online about your Dad's death. I have so many pleasant and fun memories of all of us growing up and visiting each other. Although we haven't seen each other in years at least we all have good memories. God Bless all of you and your families.
